i could go on for hours about the sudden crack and separation i imagine it like concrete after it’s rained and experienced a really cold night. the water seeps in and it freezes and pushes the concrete apart. wow krem metaphors in his confidence at this very moment. :’))))) his stutter says it all. and the fact that he said “there’s no way that can be true.” NOTE HIS WORDING. “there’s no way that can be true.” he’d normally say “that isn’t true,” if he were EXTRA sure of himself. not here though, because he’s doubting himself already. it’s already there, planted in his mind the moment it was introduced. it’s like he went to start, so positive of himself, but then his subconsciousness caught up with him and suddenly he wasn’t so sure because here’s a example of what he could be, what very well may be him at this point, because for four years (at that point in time) that was all he knew. and he hadn’t remembered going through the gate of truth because his memory hadn’t returned to him yet, so it was literally like … human - blank space - suit of armor for him as far as recalling it goes. it just kills me because this changed him in a fucking blink of an eye. that innocence of a young boy so sure of himself was gone in that moment. first real insecurities fuck with you.
i just think about alphonse and cry sometimes, okay. leave me be.

At last, back home to Xing, with a little sister and the Stone in tow. Ling is named the heir to the throne. The weight of Fuu's death, combined with new responsibility, must make the idealistic young man grow up quickly. The Emperor's seat awaits.
